Tap Titans 2
Designing new user interfaces and improvements for a globally played game.
Tap Titans 2 is a "Clicker" Idle RPG game for mobile devices. This is the second game of the Sword Master franchise and was released by Game Hive in 2016, being played globally by millions of players.

As an "idle" game Tap Titans 2 may, at first, look to be a simple game, but there are several mechanics and events such as tournaments, raids, global raids, clans to join, season events, dungeon and quests, and alchemy events in addition to the main game with more than 150K levels.
​
When I joined the Game Hive team as a UI Artist for Tap Titans 2, the game had already celebrated five years of great success. This presented an exciting challenge for me. This involved identifying points of improvement for the user flow and interface, adding new features, and producing new art assets while respecting what was consolidated in the game.
​
As the team works with a monthly routine for releasing new versions, I contributed to the development of 21 versions, from v.5.17 to v.6.6. So I could work on all main interfaces. Here I present some of the art assets I created during my time at Game Hive, such as new UI icons, event Icons, player avatars, skill icons and collectible items.

I also worked on new UI elements, layout and user workflow for a better user experience. This other part is also presented here, a little further down this page.

New Art Assets

Starting with some art assets that I created for the game's interface, always seeking to follow the graphic style consolidated by the artists who previously worked on the project.
Concepts for: Relic Booster icon. Memento icon (collectible and consumable item). Wildcard icon.
New chests for: Daily Free Reward; Progressive Check-in Reward; and Progressive Pet and Diamond Chests unlocked by watching ad video.
Assets for new events: Elder dragon icons for Transcendence Season and variations/states for event coming soon, open, participating, and event closed. Super Season Passes icon. Concept for Transcendence Event Pet Egg. New keys and pad locks for Dungeon Quest.
Icons for new skills: Combat Techniques, Twilight Fairy and Loaded Dice.
Avatars (player icons) and Frames for Top Ranked Clans in Raid Season Master Tier; Top Ranked Players in Transcendence Season; and Dungeon Quest Event Rewards.

New User Interfaces

During the time I worked on the TT2 team, I worked closely with the game designers to develop several new features that improve the players' experience, introducing new mechanics, new user flows and making adjustments to existing interfaces to improve the game's usability.

Here I present some of the interfaces I worked on. Little by little, I will add notes to explain more about my design process, UX/UI design decisions and handoff to implementation.
