FM-Games
A gaming company focused on hyperacusual players.

FM-Games is a game company, focused on bringing traditional games like Spades, Solitaire, Dominoes, Hearts and Gin Rummy to the digital world. FM-Games has offices in Cyprus and Greece and they publish games around the world.

During the time I worked at FM-Games in Cyprus, I was the only UI Designer and Game Artist on the team, working alongside the art director and the development team. As the only designer, I was responsible for designing in game elements, interfaces, user flow, animations, logos, icons, some visual effects, delivering the assets and monitoring the implementation close to developers.

There I worked on several games that were implemented and updated simultaneously, which used to be around 4 projects at the same time. That was a nice challenge.

FM-Games' strategy was about having many games with similar mechanics but for different target audiences. With that I had the opportunity to explore different graphic styles (skeomorphism, flat, cartoon and digital painting) adapting the game's look to each target audience.

This was in line with something I believe in as a designer. I believe that the graphic style should not be chosen based on the artist/designer preferences, it should be consistent with the users' preferences and and project goals. This means that I like the challenge of adapting my style to deliver the best possible solution.

Here are some of the projects I worked on at FM-Games.

So I was always close to the development team talking about how to improve the user experience in a viable way in relation to the developers' schedule and product deadlines. I also worked with the development team to check that everything was being implemented as designed. We always discuss possible solutions and improvements, I like to always be open to suggestions and include ideas from the team so that everyone can engage with the design project.

Soon I will post more projects on this page. For now this page is still being updated, there are other projects to add here. If you prefer, contact me and I will be able to show you more of my work for FM-Games that is not yet online.
